To identify birds is a challenging art—
Most color blind folk can’t tell ‘em apart. 
Pehaps they should stick to ballet or crosswording; 
Lest tragedy strike them whilst idly birding. 

For example, let’s take the spot-bellied slaphand
Who thrives on the beach and digs nests in the sand 
Distinct from the red-crested slaphand, you know
Who nests on pink chairs in the north, on the snow.
