It all started with the trapeze artist. Why? No one knows. I guess it’s because things were up in the air, as they always are.

Objectively, he was overdressed. But it was too late to change.

Suddenly it seemed lonely up there. And when things are up in the air, one usually needs something more grounded, down to earth. A woman, perhaps. A strong woman.
