Beauty—Element Ten

In its pure form, Beauty occurs in volatile liquid form at room temperature, and must therefore always be contained in bottles. It is an expansive superfluid that, when left unchecked, floods entire landscapes with its elemental influence from horizon to horizon. This unique phenomenon is most often seen at sunset, but can strike anywhere at any time.

Beauty is unusual among the elements in that its appearance manifests subjectively— strange indeed for an element, but even more so for one so close—or at least so it is said—to the heart and soul of God Herself. When Beauty is present different creatures will perceive it differently; indeed, there is no single standard for Beauty (again, well-nigh unprecedented for an element) and one creature’s beauty may be the next creature’s ugliness.
