Hi there. This is Lee.

Welcome, victims, to one more experiment in garden variety, outdoor podcasting.

We’re in my garden today, and those red things behind me are the posts for the Tori gate, which you’ll get to see a more complete picture of at some point.

In any event, I’m reporting to you from here in the garden on various events over the last few days.

One of them was that I was contemplating the question of attention, because we cannot concentrate ourselves enough without attention. And yet, we always think that attention is stuck in our mind somewhere and that we can think about having attention and that somehow this will direct us towards it.

Well, that’s almost correct. But you see, when I think of attention, the only thing that the head can provide is the direction.
