Speaking a bit more about this situation regarding the nature of DNA, RNA, cellular biology, and how it functions.
The way molecular structures are built raises questions about the meaning of what life is. There is no conceivable reason for molecules to do the things that they do in the context of life. They discriminate; and anyone that examines the life processes driven by our DNA and RNA molecules will immediately see that things are going on which are actually properties of life itself, manifesting on the molecular level. You can't “take life out“ of the molecules; they don't create living creatures, they are living creatures.
I would remind readers here that DNA is a crystal, just like quartz crystal. This means that it is a repeating structure with a very specific and predictable mathematical organization.
The difference between a DNA crystal and “ordinary” crystal such as quartz, beryl or what have you is that a DNA crystal is very highly interactive with its environment, especially in conjunction with a second crystal, RNA, which does almost all of the work in translating and activating the potentials encoded in DNA.
It is, in fact, almost incorrect to claim the DNA contains all the information needed for life, because that information is equally resident in RNA and its actions. Perhaps even more so; because without RNA interacting with it, unzipping and zipping DNA back up as it moves along the strands to bring various portions of it into new and different relationships both with itself and other substances, DNA would be as static and as dead as quartz.
So what we have here are living crystals — quite literally—and when Gurdjieff spoke of "wrong crystallization" he spoke quite literally of the crystalline substances in our body forming relationships in such a way that they don't work properly.
